The Future of Plant Health: A Multidisciplinary Vision

The Future of Plant Health: A Multidisciplinary Vision is a day long symposium scheduled to be held on the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota on September 8, 2003. This year's symposium will be the fouth symposium organized by the graduate students in the Department of Plant Pathology. The event will highlight six speakers from different branches of plant science presenting how their branch is contributing to advances in plant health research and giving their opinions and insights of how it will contribute in the future. Each speaker is highly respected in his or her field and will provide a stimulating speech guaranteed to stimulate critical thought and discussion for all who attend.

The symposium is free of charge and open to all who wish to attend; students, faculty and reserachers from all branches of science are welcome. Featured speakers are from the disciplines of plant breeding, plant disease epidemiology, ecology, plant genomics, microbial genomics and entomology and each have research focused on improving plant health.
