PHILIP C. HAMM MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS IN PLANT SCIENCES AND RELATED DISCIPLINES

One scholarship of $1000 is available to undergraduate students in the plant sciences and related disciplines from the Philip C. Hamm Memorial Scholarship Program. The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and reward undergraduate students who show promise and interest in becoming research plant scientists. The awards will be based entirely on merit and the recipient will be recognized for this honor at the Philip C. Hamm Memorial Lecture on Tuesday, April 7, 2009.

To be eligible for this award,

A student must be a junior or senior

Have an outstanding undergraduate scholastic record.

Applications consist of:

1) A statement of career objectives including your research experience and interest

2) A resume

3) Transcripts of all undergraduate work

4) Two letters of recommendation from faculty members providing evidence of promise as a research plant scientist

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Deadline for Receipt of Complete Applications- March 6, 2009.
