Tour 4: UMN-Public Television Documentary: Saving Wheat: Rusts Never Sleep

We live in a time when most people don’t know where their food comes from. Few appreciate the importance of rust diseases to global food security. Minnesota Channel Productions of Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) and the University of Minnesota’s Department of Plant Pathology tell a very special story about the international impact of University of Minnesota researchers on wheat, and the battles against wheat diseases that continue to threaten wheat and cereal production. Join us for the premiere of this historic documentary. It is scheduled for public television broadcasting in early Fall 2011.
