Nematology

Southern Research and Outreach Center Waseca, Minnesota

My research interests include the biology, ecology, and management of plant-parasitic nematodes. Current research focuses on the biology and management of the soybean cyst nematode (SCN). Research projects involve determining life cycle, population dynamics, and race composition of the nematode in Minnesota; optimizing crop rotation scheme for SCN management; evaluating soybean cultivars for SCN-resistance; and investigating biological control of the nematode.
