2016 Recipient: Zennah Kosgey
Kosgey's research focuses on developing durable resistance to stem rust (Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici) in wheat. Her hope in attaining my doctorate is to contribute to food security by developing disease resistant wheat that will withstand attack from virulent and ever-evolving pathogens.
