What is your research focus?

Screening the wheat NAM population for resistance genes against various diseases including stem rust, leaf rust scab disease for the improvement of wheat. 

What is your favorite group of fungi?

The genus Acremonium

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

Playing cricket and jogging

What is plant pathology to you? 

Plant pathology is a discipline which improves our life, economy, heath and environment by controlling plant diseases. 

Why did decide to attend graduate school at the University of Minnesota? Tell us about your path to Plant Pathology.

The University of Minnesota is a wonderful university and provides a better future to students, which is why I am happy to be here. Here I can learn new techniques and hopefully lead my country to a more prosperous future. 

What do you hope to accomplish in your time at the University of Minnesota, and what are your goals for the future? 

My primary goal for the future is to become a teacher and provide the light of knowledge to students.
