Andrew Sathoff receives Torske Klubben Fellowship

Andrew Sathoff was recently awarded the Torske Klubben Fellowship for the 2018-19 academic year. This fellowship provides a $16,000 stipend for graduate student research. The Torske Klubben, which means cod club in English, is a Minneapolis luncheon club of men of Norwegian heritage who are passionate about maintaining cultural ties between Norway and America. The organization funds University of Minnesota graduate fellowships for Minnesota residents who have a deep and abiding cultural and/or professional interest in Norway. Andrew has a strong connection to Norway through his heritage and through his undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College. In his fellowship application, he described a study abroad course titled “Production Agriculture in Norway” in which he would develop and lead in the future.
