Becca Hall represented our department as an invited speaker at the North Central American Phytopathological Society Meeting. The theme for this year's meeting was “Teaching Plant Pathology: Challenges and Opportunities”. The meeting included presentations and workshops focused on effectively teaching plant pathology in a virtual format. Becca’s presentation, titled “Thinking outside the box when teaching plant pathology” highlighted the many creative techniques that we implemented this past year to reach our learning objectives and provide quality lessons during the pandemic. Topics covered included virtual fungal forays, take-home lab kits, virtual tours, and scavenger hunts.
