Brett Lane

I completed my bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at Hanover College and my master's in Plant Pathology at Purdue University. I recently completed my PhD in Plant Pathology from the University of Florida.

My research lies at the intersection of microbial ecology and plant pathology. My PhD research investigated the impact of an emerging disease on the microbial communities of an invasive grass and the potential resulting shifts in invasive dynamics.

When not at work I can be found watching baseball, or any other sport that's on, hiking, or brewing beer.
