What is plant pathology to you?
Plant pathology is the scientific study of disease-causing agents as well as it is the act of saving crops from pest loss.
Why did decide to attend graduate school at the University of Minnesota? Tell us about your path to Plant Pathology.
The University of Minnesota is a well-known university with regards to plant pathology. Most of the plant protection principles are generated from this university. It is great chance to learn in such a university to acquire knowledge and skill in plant pathology.
What do you hope to accomplish in your time at the University of Minnesota, and what are your goals for the future?
Getting my Ph.D. and acquiring the knowledge and skills that will allow me to minimize crop losses due to diseases.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?

My research focus on the role of barberry plant in stem rust disease epidemiology and race analysis of stem rust in Ethiopia.
