Biography
Knowledge concerning stem rust of wheat, a fungal plant pathogen of wheat and barley and other related rust fungi. Worked with various researchers on multiple rust related projects. Trained and experienced in Biosafety level 3 standard operating procedures. Currently working on a project related to crown rust host specificity on turf-grasses and oats. Other areas of interest include forest pathology, mycology, and molecular plant pathology.
Graduated spring of 2021 with a B.S. in Plant Science. Started employment in 2019 at the University of Minnesota / USDA Cereal Disease Lab with Dr. Yue Jin's stem rust lab.
Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors, whether it be biking, camping, gardening, walking or anything! I also enjoy music and music production, and am also very into ceramics. I also have a cat named Uma!
