I am interested in developing and utilizing genomics resources of important phytopathogenic fungi to understand the origins of new virulent isolates and to study the evolution of virulence (effector diversity) and other traits that are important for the development and management of crop disease. In this case, we are working on developing pangenomic resources for cereal rust fungi.
