Congratulations to Dr. Deborah Samac, PhD, on being awarded the Research Leader/Center Director of the Year at the United States Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) Employee Recognition Program. Samac was awarded on April 5, 2022, in a virtually hosted ceremony.
She was chosen by supervisors and peers in recognition of her work restaffing her USDA research unit, the recognition attained already by the new scientists and staff, and collaborative research-tool development projects to be broadly shared in the research community.
